Astoria OR Artists Showcase Work in Open Studio Tour

Make plans to discover the talents and diversity of Astoria, Oregon’s arts community when artists welcome you into their studios from 10 am to 4 pm Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31, 2016. Their sixth annual Astoria Open Studio Tour showcases 47 different artists who are waiting to greet you and discuss their art and sources of inspiration. You’ll meet both professional artists and emerging talent who work in all kinds of media – sculptors, painters, fiber artists, potters, photographers, and more. You will see works in progress as well as finished pieces for sale, and learn what has drawn different artists to this beautiful location.

The Tour is self-guided and self-paced, allowing you time to watch live demonstrations as well as engage with the artists at the different studios and locations throughout the peninsula. Before you begin, be sure to visit the Astoria Visual Arts’ 2016 Open Studio Tour web page, where you will find a map, information about each of the artists participating in the 2016 Tour, their biographies, and examples of their creations. The Open Studio Tour website currently features the work of participants in the 2015 Tour.

The tour guide and map, which includes the 24 locations and all of the participating artists, is available on the Astoria Visual Arts website and at several gallery locations in Astoria. Best of all, you’ll find a number of the Open Studio Tour locations are clustered within an easy 5 to 10 minute walk from Clementine’s Bed and Breakfast on Exchange Street. Book your weekend stay at our B&B the last weekend in July and you’ll find yourself perfectly located for the Tour!
