A Small, Comfortably Elegant Inn in Historic Downtown Astoria Oregon

The Peony Suite is a  luxurious suite in soft vintage tones of apricot and light green wallpaper and has two antique iron queen-size beds with overhead romantic crystal chandeliers. A dedicated sitting area for two in the bump-out bay window offers a place for reading, relaxing and river viewing and ship traffic. A private balcony provides an bird’s eye view of the Flavel House Mansion and gardens across the street and fantastic views of the picturesque Columbia River where ship traffic is frequent and sometimes exotic. The mountain views across the river in Washington State are only four miles away! The room is heated by a vintage-style gas fireplace with live flame. There is stylized tile flooring in the private en-suite bathroom with shower. The room is quiet and seems isolated from house activities.

Each room has a Keurig coffee maker with gourmet coffee and teas. A compact refrigerator has plenty room for your needs and a chiller for ice cube tray.  We also include wine opener, wine glasses, disposable flatware. Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor pergola sitting area in the rose garden with firepit, weather permitting. The room greets guests with fresh flowers, chocolates and a small fruit basket.

The en-suite private bath with shower has stylized tile flooring. The room is carpeted for comfort, warmth and quiet.  There is a small rattan table & chairs for morning coffee and heating provided by cadet wall heater with thermostat.  A large private balcony with outdoor seating for two offers relaxing river-watching and offers magnificent views of the Columbia River, the Astoria Column and the town of Astoria and our own backyard and pergola. The room is quiet and isolated from house activities. Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor pergola sitting area in the rose garden with firepit, weather permitting.

The Dahlia Room is a comfortably elegant, small and cozy second-floor room with soft teal walls  and featuring spectacular views of the Columbia River through a huge bay window that captures the morning light. There is an antique iron queen-size bed  with comfortable hybrid foam mattress, a sparkling over-bed crystal chandelier, and a large stuffed chair and ottoman for enjoying an amazing river view from inside the room. A private balcony with seating for two outside makes you feel like you’re perched in a tree house. The heat is a cadet wall heater with wall thermostat. The sunny bathroom, with a tub and shower combo, is just a few steps across the hall outside the room and provides exclusive use for Dahlia Room occupants.  The floor & walls are beautifully tiled and it has a shower/tub combo. Please note: the bath is outside the room, but for private use for Dahlia Room guests only.
